SUBJECT: RSNA Advanced Course in Grant Writing


DATE: June 6, 2007

The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) is accepting applications for the 2007-2008 Advanced Course in Granting Writing. Using the NIH R01 application as a model, the course will address key elements of a high quality grant proposal including:

· Designing a study

· Where to turn for help

· Producing and justifying a realistic project budget

· Understanding the process and psychology of grant review

· Using the "pink sheets"

· Revising and re-submitting

The course is open to all subspecialties in radiology, radiation oncology, and nuclear medicine. Due to the success of the course, there are a limited number of slots available for 2007-2008.

The deadline for applications to the RSNA Advanced Course in Grant Writing is July 1, 2007. Accepted applicants will be notified by August 1, 2007. The application form, also attached, and a brochure that includes program details can be downloaded from: http://www.rsna.org/Research/educational_courses.cfm
