Dear Colleague,

The UCSF Training in Clinical Research (TICR) Program is pleased to announce upcoming opportunities for scholars who desire to develop and enhance their skills in clinical research.

The Summer Clinical Research Workshop will be held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for 7 weeks beginning on July 31, 2007, and will include the following courses:

Designing Clinical Research (Epi 202)
Responsible Conduct of Research (Epi 201)
Building a Career in Clinical Research (Epi 227)
In addition, we offer a version of Designing Clinical Research that begins on August 1, 2007 and meets on Mondays and Wednesdays (and 2 Fridays) during the month of August. This course, Designing Clinical Research for Residents and Students (Epi 150.03), is designed for UCSF residents, and students in the four professional schools.

The year-long Advanced Training in Clinical Research (ATCR) Certificate Program includes the Summer Clinical Research Workshop, and then continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays from September through June. The ATCR Program is a four-quarter didactic sequence where, in addition to required coursework, scholars are expected to develop and implement a clinical research project.

The application deadline for the ATCR Certificate Program is June 1, 2007 and the deadline for the Summer Clinical Research Workshop is July 13, 2007. Early application is strongly encouraged.

Application forms and further details on each of these programs and their courses are available on our website at <<<http://www.epibiostat.ucsf.edu/courses/post.html>http://www.epibiostat.ucsf.edu/courses/post.html>>.

Sincerely,
