The UCSF Training in Clinical Research (TICR) Program

announces a

Grant-writing Workshop on Mentored Career Development Awards

The TICR Program, a component of the Clinical and Translational Science Training (CTST) Program, is pleased to announce a Grant-writing Workshop on Mentored Career Development Awards open to the UCSF community free-of-charge. This workshop is scheduled for 3:00 - 4:30 PM on 5 Fridays from May 4 - June 1 at China Basin Landing (185 Berry Street). This workshop, presented by Mr Tom Mitchell, will be offered 3 times per year (January, May, and September) for people to take advantage of on a "just in time" basis -- when they are writing an application for a mentored career development award. The workshop uses examples from patient-oriented research career development awards (K23s), but the concepts apply to K01 and K08 awards.

Over the past five years, Mr. Mitchell has provided individual tutoring to numerous fellows and junior faculty from the Departments of Medicine and Anesthesiology and scholars in the Master's in Clinical Research program who are writing applications for mentored career development awards. This is the first time he is offering this workshop to assist other fellows and junior faculty at UCSF who are not able to receive individual tutoring.

To see more details and to sign up for the workshop, go to the link below.
