Instructions for listening to reports
Dictating using the telephone
DICTATING FROM DICTATION UNIT
| PRESS |
Log on or [17] key |
| ENTER | Your dictation ID number followed by the "#" key
Hit the "speaker/mute" key |
| STROBE |
Accession number
If more than one, enter the next accession number.
When finished, hit the "#" key. |
| DICTATION |
Press the RECORD button on the microphone
At completion of FINDINGS, press the upper right hand key on the microphone to mark the IMPRESSION. |
| REPORT SIGN OFF: |
Press the L or end key. |
| DISCONNECT: |
On last dictation, hit the Disconnect button or "*" and number 5 keys. |
| CANCEL DICTATION: |
Prior to signing off a dictation, depress the "*" and number 8 keys. Then hit the number 1 key to confirm. |
| STAT DICTATION: |
Prior to signing off the dictation, press the number 6 key. |
INSTRUCTIONS FOR LISTENING TO RADIOLOGY REPORTS FROM A TOUCH-TONE TELEPHONE: Dial 353-3400
When prompted, enter your physician ID followed by the # key.
Enter the patient's medical record number followed by the # key. Report will automatically begin playback.
GO TO IMPRESSION:
Listen to impression only by entering 9 key.
LISTEN TO NEXT REPORT, SAME PATIENT:
Listen to the next report for same patient by entering 8 key, next report will automatically playback. Dictations are stored by newest to oldest report. Dictations are held for 72 hours.
LISTEN TO REPORT FOR NEW PATIENT:
Listen to report for another patient, enter **, then respond to prompts.
DISCONNECT:
When finished, press the 5 key and hang up.

DICTATING USING THE TELEPHONE
DIAL: 353-3400
Enter your dictation ID followed by the "#" key
Enter the first accession number followed by the "#" key.
Enter second accession number followed by the "#" key.
When finished, hit the "#" key
To RECORD, hit the number 2 key. To STOP, hit the number 2 key. To RESUME the dictation, hit the number 2 key.
When dictation is completed, hit the number 8 key.
When on last dictation and wish to disconnect, hit the "*" key followed by the number 5 key.
KEY FUNCTIONS
(1) to hold
(2) to stop or resume recording
(3) to skip back and play
(4) to fast forward
(5) to disconnect
(6) to mark STAT dictation
(7) to rewind
(8) to sign off dictation
(9) to mark impression
