Faculty on the Move

Mei-Hsiu Chen, PhD, an assistant adjunct professor who recently joined UCSF as a biostatistician, returned to the East Coast to accept a position as assistant professor at Brown University in Providence, RI.

Samuel K. Dawn, MD, former assistant clinical professor of radiology at San Francisco General Hospital, departed in April for a position in diagnostic imaging with Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.

Michael B. Gotway, MD, an associate professor in residence and director of thoracic imaging at San Francisco General Hospital, accepted a position with Scottsdale Medical Imaging in Scottsdale, AZ. Gotway, a former resident at UCSF, had served as director of the Radiology Residency Program since 2001, and as interim chief of the radiology service at San Francisco General Hospital since 2004.

Yebin Jiang, PhD, an associate adjunct professor with the Osteoporosis and Arthritis Research Group, has accepted a position as associate adjunct professor with the UCSF Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics.

Liang-Der Jou, PhD, an assistant adjunct professor with the Vascular Imaging Research Center at the VAMC moved to Pittsburgh, PA, to take a position with the Department of Radiology at the University of Pittsburgh.

John Lynch, PhD, an assistant adjunct professor with the Osteoporosis and Arthritis Research Group, has accepted a position with the UCSF Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics.

Shelley R. Marder, MD, an associate clinical professor who served as chief of the interventional radiology service at San Francisco General Hospital since 1996, left in June to accept a position with Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco.

James T. Rhea, MD stepped down from his position as Hideyo Minagi Chair and professor of clinical radiology at San Francisco General Hospital. He accepted a position with the Department of Radiology at Boston Medical Center.

Oliver Weber, PhD, an assistant adjunct professor with the Interventional Magnetic Resonance Imaging group, moved in October to Switzerland where he will work with Siemens Medical Systems.

Dulcy E. Wolverton, MD, left her position of associate professor of clinical radiology with the Breast Imaging service at Mt. Zion to accept a position with Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, Summit Campus, in Oakland, CA.
